Archconfraternity of the Mass of Reparation

The Manchester Canonry is dedicated to Corpus Christi and under the patronage of Our Holy Father Saint Norbert and Saint Juliana of Liege, two saints who showed zealous devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.   More than a century ago the Canons of Manchester founded the Archconfraternity of the Mass of Reparation.   Its aim is to inspire devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and to make reparation for all those who neglect or insult the presence of Christ in this Most Holy Sacrament.   In 1904, Pope Saint Pius X bestowed his apostolic blessing on the aims and work of the Archconfraternity and in 1907 he presented the Community with a beautiful silver chalice.  The Archconfraternity is centred at Saint Chad's Priory and the priests of the Community, after more than a century, continue to celebrate a Mass of Reparation every Saturday at 12.20pm.
